Back in Jakarta

This is the view out the window of our 25th floor apartment in Jakarta. Its good to be back in the Jakarta Indonesia mission again. We are quickly getting involved in the work here again. We have new leadership for the Indonesia Communication Council so it has been nice to get to know them and we will help to facilitate training. The "Light The World" Christmas campaign has started which probably won't require our direct involvement but we will help wherever we can. We are also planning some trips with our humanitarian missionaries so that we can make newsroom articles from the great work that is ongoing around the country. We will keep you posted as the exciting events of the next six months in Indonesia unfold.

We recieved a visit from this wonderful couple who we have not met for many years. This is Looky and Diana Samad. They stayed in our home in Hong Kong back in about 1999 when they came to be sealed in the HK temple just after they got married. We have kept in touch over the years but never met again until now. It was wonderful to meet them again and catch up on all that has happened in the intervening years. They will be travelling to the states this summer for a wedding of one of their children. Diana's memory of their visit to Hong Kong is sharper than ours and she recalled details that we could not remember. We took them to dinner at Planet Hollywood where our son Paul worked as a waiter at the time. She said that she was so impressed with our boys and wanted her boys to be like Sam and Paul.

Short post today. I'm sure we will have lots of interesting pics in the coming weeks. We love you all! Take care!
