Temporarily Transferred to Kuala Lumpur Malaysia

We moved from the big city of Jakarta Indonesia to the big city of Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. Due to new legal requirements in Indonesia, the senior missionaries can only stay for 6 months at a time. We will spend the next six months here in Malaysia doing the same type of communications work we did in Indonesia and then we will move back to Jakarta for the last six months of our mission. The photo above was taken from the 86th floor of the twin towers located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. For about 4 years this was the tallest building in the world. It is actually two towers connected by a bridge as about the 50th floor. You have probably seen pictures of it.
These are some of the wonderful people we work with in Malaysia. They are members of the communication council for Malaysia. We are standing in front of a large building which houses the mission offices and also a Church in the lower floor. (building still under construction a little bit)
There are a lot more senior missionaries here. We are having dinner with two of the other couples. The Murray's and the Brinkerhoff's.

We live in a quiet place with lot of trees and good sidewalks. We are within about a 15 minute walk from a grocery store, mall, and IKEA. We are having a bit of a rest from the crowded streets and busy traffic of Jakarta. We don't have a car, we take GRAB everywhere that is not within walking distance. GRAB is the Asia equivalent of UBER.
Yes, they have Santa Clause and Elves in Malaysia too!

On Sunday all of the branches a wards in Asia watch the Asia Area Christmas Devotional Video which I have linked below. It is long and much of it is sung and narrated the beautiful languages of this region. We don't blame you if you don't watch the whole thing. Each country was given 5 minutes and each chose a Christmas them and a song. We were involved with the storyboard and the music recording for the Indonesian segment.  I hope the link below works for you.
